Welcome to Pawz Pet Care!

To get to know a little more about me and my business, my name is Jenny and I started up my business in 2022 after wanting a career change within the animal industry.

I have always had a passion for animal care and welfare since I began horse riding lessons at 9 years old. I went on to develop my love for the industry working with a wide range of animals through studying a college course in Animal Management, my employment of rescuing and rehoming cats, and my volunteering role at Second Chance Animal Rescue.

I volunteered over a span of 4 years at Second Chance Animal Rescue, where I first began my work experience with rabbits and cats, and then returning as a dedicated volunteer on the exotic animal section; proving a safe and warm environment to some amazing animals such as raccoons, civets, meerkats and more.

Pawz Pet Care was inspired by my own furry friend, Bailey, a Labrador/border collie cross who we adopted as a puppy. His adorable personality makes everyone warm to him, however his trust issues with humans and his unpredictable personality around other dogs has always set him back in situations such as dog boarding and sitting. At the time of needing someone to help due to our extended hours at work, trusting a dog walker or sitter enough to respect his boundaries was difficult, so I decided to create my own business to help others in the same situation.

Living in London, I know full well just how difficult it can be to juggle a full-time job and look after your beloved pets. Having a trusting dog walker can be such a help to make sure your dog gets the right amount of exercise and stimulation they need in a day.

As well as dogs, I provide a service for any pets you may have, including cats, small mammals, fish, birds, and chickens. Owning a cat, a big tank of fish and two crested geckos, I find going on holiday difficult when I want my pets to have the same level of care I would give them myself. Creating my own business where I can provide my service to local families that need the extra hand with their pets has been the most exciting decision. I love every single one of my clients as if they are my own, my dog walks are structured and full of excitement; and my pet visits give you the break that you deserve whilst on holiday, or if you simply can’t make it home soon enough from work I try my best to fit everyone in even if it’s out of hours.

Alongside my continuous physical work with animals, I am always looking for more things to learn in the industry. So, as well as my complete love for animals, I do obtain qualifications, including my Level 3 Extended Diploma in Animal Management, my Pet Sitting certificate, and my completed Dog First Aid Emergency Canine Care course. As well as this, for safety reasons, I also have a recently gained DBS check that is available to be checked by all clients if they wish. I am also fully insured with Protectivity to be offering all of the services I provide.
