Frequently asked questions

What is your cancellation policy?

Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the service will be charged the full-service price.

How do I pay?

I accept cash, PayPal or bank transfer, and a weekly invoice will be sent to you via your selected contact method.

Do you have insurance?

Yes, I am fully insured with Protectivity.

How will I know that my pets are safe?

All of my services come with regular photos, videos, and updates of your pets on WhatsApp. I regularly take photos of my dog walks and are posted on my social media (only if you have given your consent) or sent to you directly.

What safety precautions do you have in place?

I am trained in canine first aid, and I carry a small first aid kit with me at all times; a larger first aid kit is also kept in my car.

In case of any damage, I always have spare equipment in my car. I have reflective tags that I use for evening walks in the winter, so that your dog is visible to me and others at all times. I also have my own engraved dog tags that I attach to each dog before we start our walk, this tag states that they are on a walk with me along with my contact information. Dogs travelling in my car are securely attached to their seatbelts via a harness before setting off.

Where will my keys be kept?

All keys are kept in a secured safe overnight and are labelled with a code instead of any private information.

Where do you walk the dogs?

My walks are based in various areas depending on where you live, usually a local park or woodland area.

What would happen if my pets were sick or injured while I’m away?

In the case of any illness or injury you will be contacted immediately, and I will take your pet to the vet if required, with your written consent to do so via my consent form that you will fill out prior to me completing the service. The cost of any vet bills I pay will need to be reimbursed within 48 hours.

Can you walk my dog off the lead?

With your written consent, your dog can be walked off the lead if they have a recall. This is so I can be confident that your dog will respond to me whilst out on a walk, for your dog’s safety. The first walk with all new dogs will be on a lead.

What if my dog gets muddy?

All dogs are wiped down with towels and dried so that they are not left with wet fur. I use my own towels, so these do not need to be supplied.

What if I run out of food or bedding whilst I’m away?

I am able to purchase any supplies that run out during visits or house sits, you will be contacted before I purchase any items. I will need to be reimbursed for any supplies bought, so the receipts will be invoiced to you along with the original service cost at the end of the week.

I have a house full of pets that need looking after whilst I’m away, can you do that?

Yes! All pets are welcome, no matter how many you have. During our meet and greet we can discuss your pet’s requirements and the service that you need.
